Cafe Style Korean Strawberry Milk (Printable)

A vibrant drink blending fresh strawberries and milk for a refreshing cafe-style beverage.

# What You'll Need:

→ Strawberry Sauce

01 - 1 cup (150 g) fresh strawberries, hulled and diced
02 - 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
03 - 1 teaspoon lemon juice

→ Assembly

04 - 2 cups (480 ml) cold whole milk
05 - 2-4 fresh strawberries, sliced for garnish
06 - Ice cubes

# How To Make It:

01 - Combine diced strawberries, sugar, and lemon juice in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring frequently for 5-7 minutes until strawberries soften and release their juices, forming a syrupy consistency. Lightly mash strawberries with a fork to achieve desired texture. Remove from heat and allow to cool completely.
02 - Distribute the cooled strawberry sauce evenly between two tall glasses, ensuring each receives an equal portion.
03 - Place a few slices of fresh strawberries into each glass for added texture and visual presentation.
04 - Slowly pour cold milk over the strawberry sauce in each glass. Add ice cubes if desired for enhanced chill.
05 - Gently stir the drink to create a swirling marble effect, combining the strawberry sauce and milk. Serve immediately while cold.

# Tips from dashanddishes:

01 -
  • The homemade strawberry sauce puts those artificial syrups to shame while being surprisingly simple
  • It strikes that perfect balance between feeling fancy and being totally achievable on a random Tuesday
02 -
  • The sauce must be completely cold before adding the milk, or the milk will curral and ruin the whole presentation.
  • Pouring the milk slowly against the side of the glass creates better swirls than dumping it in all at once.
03 -
  • Taste your strawberries first. If they’re super sweet, reduce the sugar. If they’re tart, add a bit more.
  • The sauce is also incredible swirled into oatmeal or spread on toast the next morning.
