01 - In a small saucepan over medium heat, whisk together pumpkin purée, milk, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice. Heat until steaming but not boiling, approximately 4 to 5 minutes.
02 - Remove saucepan from heat and stir in pure vanilla extract.
03 - Whisk the warm mixture vigorously or use a milk frother until a light foam forms.
04 - Divide the hot brewed coffee or espresso evenly between two mugs.
05 - Top each mug with the spiced pumpkin milk mixture, garnish with whipped cream and a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg if desired. Serve immediately.
