Sweetheart Fruit Skewers Yogurt (Printable)

Colorful heart-cut fruit on skewers served with a smooth honey and vanilla yogurt dip.

# What You'll Need:

→ Fresh Fruits

01 - 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled
02 - 1 cup seedless watermelon, sliced
03 - 1 cup fresh pineapple, sliced
04 - 1 cup seedless grapes, red or green
05 - 1 kiwi, peeled and sliced
06 - 1 small apple, cored and sliced

→ Yogurt Dip

07 - 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
08 - 2 tablespoons honey
09 - 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

→ Optional Garnish

10 - 1 tablespoon chopped fresh mint leaves

# How To Make It:

01 - Using a small heart-shaped cookie cutter, cut heart shapes from the watermelon, pineapple, apple, and kiwi slices. Press firmly through the fruit to create clean edges.
02 - Thread the heart-shaped fruit pieces and whole grapes onto wooden skewers, alternating colors and shapes to create visual appeal. Leave enough space at the bottom for easy handling.
03 - In a small mixing bowl, combine Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract. Whisk vigorously until completely smooth and evenly incorporated.
04 - Arrange the fruit skewers on a serving platter. Place the yogurt dip in a small bowl alongside. Garnish the dip with chopped fresh mint just before serving, if desired.

# Tips from dashanddishes:

01 -
  • These make you look like you put in way more effort than you actually did
  • The creamy honey vanilla dip transforms ordinary fruit into something dessert worthy
  • They disappear twice as fast as regular fruit trays
02 -
  • Dip apple slices in lemon juice immediately after cutting or they'll turn brown before you even finish assembling
  • Soak wooden skewers in water for 15 minutes if you plan to grill these otherwise they'll burn
03 -
  • Chill everything for 30 minutes before serving—the cold fruit tastes sweeter and the dip thickens up beautifully
  • Make these up to 4 hours ahead but add mint garnish right before serving so it stays fresh and green
